I have one..........
and am getting ready to drop it in my new Superformance. Mine was built by Keith Craft and is bored and stroked to 496 c.i.
You can look in my gallery for pics of Keith's shop in Arkansas and dyno sheets. Keith is very complimentary of the Genesis blocks and has built a few of these for folks in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
I have heard only positive comments on these blocks from the owners I know.

The only thing I've heard on the side is Keith Craft has machined and built a few successfully and a drag racer friend said something about them being sactioned so they could be used as approved replacement motors in their drag cars. I saw one in the black CSX4000 display car at Laguna Seca last August at the Historics, but did not hear it run. Said to be a KC motor, but who knows... The word is the blocks come pretty raw and require experienced machine work to make them correct. Why? Specifically what is required? What are the pros/cons?
I too would like to hear from an actual ClubCobra (not a dealer or engine builder) member here that has purchased one, installed it in a replica Cobra, and using it now. Thanks.

I have a Genesis also.....
I have a Keith Craft built Aluminum Genesis 496. The motor is nothing short of awesome. This motor dynoed at well over 600 HP.
Here are a couple of shots of the Genesis before I dropped it into my SPF
I have a couple thousand miles on the motor and everything is tight with no leaks. At this point the Genesis appears to be a great block.

Can the exterior of these aluminum blocks be powdercoated?
What different types of blocks are available? I seem to remember FE/sideoiler and the 385 series (429/460, etc..) what others?

Re:
Are the alloy blocks actually shipping yet? I know they were having challenges casting the alloy blocks for a long time.

Bluedog,
The challenges of a series casting on this item is almost short of a miracle to the FE crowd and being in engineering/fabrication know the challenge/costs barriers. The WEBBER purchase will solve the problem and presently commercial engine fabricators with a track record are still receiving the blocks for build out. Individuals that attempt to purchase them to build out are on the bottom rungs of the ladder, especially due to the communication and problems created by the average "homebuilder", and it may stay that way for a while.
If and when I build "non-original" FE 427s for a replica, this is the block I use. Retail if you want one that we have in stock!

I have one too!!!!!!
I also have a Keith Craft 427/482 Genesis block that I just installed in my Superformance last night. I also had the motor dynoed in which it made 637 hp with 637 lbs of torque. Had read a lot about the blocks on this forum and then began talking with Keith about them as well. So far, I have been extremely pleased with the engine, but I will let you know more when I am on the road with it.

I just recieved a genesis cast iron block. This block was ordered at Carlisle three years ago. I have been given many stories as to why I did not get my block 3 years ago when they accepted my down money. Now Tim tells me there is a skat balanced assembly for this block and he will send the info. that was two weeks ago nothing yet guess we`re starting all over again
