427 Fuel Injection Manifold
eBay Posting more photos here.
Text from post:
427 ford cobra or gt40 or thunderbolt fuel injection manifold..My friends research shows this injection was designed for ford in the mid 60's to use in their race programs. The ex-ford engineers now working in Germany told him these were also used on can am cars and land speed record cars in a very limited production. There is no name on the injection manifold except Alcoa 2x2 3/4 alum. bunting stamped on the stacks. The fuel pump made in Chicago by Cherry Burrell Corp. Chicago MFR. designed by MC MFG. Co. Detroit #MC123357 WA contract # W535AC-33207 patent applied for. The timing cover is a standard Algon casting. This package includes the injection manifold, fuel pump, fuel pump drive gear, timing cover, all lines and radiator expantion tank. A museum curator he spoke with said he had heard of these injections but he had never seen one. his research is on going. He doesn't know if the pill is for gas or alcohol. He doesn't want to take it apart. It is available as found.

FE intakes have to match their FE heads, low, medium or high rise.
So what size IS this intake?

Slick,
(no connection with this ad) means I don't know any more about this than what I copied from the eBay posting. That is why I included a link to the eBay post.

Chuck is da winner!
Your right CDB, thanks for the tip. I looked again and sure enough the push rods go through the ROUND intake ports. Yup, it's a tunnel port!
That mechanical fuel injection part would be a nightmare on the "street" and an equal nightmare to "setup" for anything else. Re-drill and adapt for electronic fuel injection might be one way to go.
...but you better find some tunnel port heads first, THEY are going to be BIG money and HARD to find!

Yep
But wouldn't that look cool on a cobra? I agree, converting it to EFI would be the way to go.
It'll be interesting to see what that auction gets up to.

The last auction I remember for a complete Algon system had a buy-it-now option. The Buy-it-Now was used within hours of the listing appearing...for $2,000.
That system was for a low-riser system, complete.
I'm curious too. Will the TP version go for more due to rarity and association with the Factory racing team? Or will it go for less due to fewer FE's with Tunnel Ports? Will it be used? Or will it be hung on a wall? Inquisitive minds would like to know
