polished valve covers for black valve covers
I have a new set of polished Cobra LeMans valve covers that came on my Pond engine as shown in this picture. Engine has only been dyno run, otherwise only a little dusty from sitting in my garage. They have screw-in chrome Ford racing breathers. I would like to trade valve covers and breathers for a new set of Cobra LeMans black satin valve covers, available from Ford Racing or equivalent cash. I believe the black ones are a little cheaper and with me throwing in the breathers, this should be a good deal for someone...

Trade you a new set of new, black Ford Racing "Cobra Lemans" valve covers for your M/T bellhousing... We each pay shipping

I don't think that bellhousing will fit on your heads .... Man, Michael, I thought I was a wheeler-dealer...I may have met my match!
But those valve covers you have are what I want...either those or the black ones that say Shelby.
The bell is being sandblasted now and I'm going to paint it. I took the starter in to an ASE certified mechanic for testing and he said it worked great! Tell me your colors so when it's on eBay it will be perfect for you...

Just looked at Jeg's and the black LeMan's valve covers are $159, no breathers. So that's about what I'd want, although I think trading would be a better deal.

Hot Rod Joe,
Keith will have my Pond 482 ready mid March. If you want to wait until then, I can change mine to the black ones, you can use the ones you have until mine gets here, then I'll trade with you.
What are you going to use for pullies and the alternator bracket?

Burgs, thanks for generous offer. I can't commit to that now, because someone may contact me and want to trade in the near future. But if it gets to be late February and I still don't have any, I may take you up on that.
Since I'm going the black route, I want some original pulleys and brackets to powdercoat black. If I were you wanting polished, I'd go with the March pulleys and some polished brackets from Gessford.

Joe,
Where can you find the origionals? I am interested in them also. Are you going to paint the block?

DSC motorsport has lots of original pulleys. That and I see them on eBay all the time. Going rate is between $15-30 that I've seen each. Just figure out which dia pulley is best for your application. They come in two different sizes. G.

I think I have a deadbeat bidder on these valve covers...if anyone wants them, I'll sell them the same as the eBay price - $145. They have the chrome Ford Racing breathers on them. Also, the cork gaskets came off w/o any damage so it could be a bolt on deal.
They are packaged up already and shipping figured to CA with insurance of $150...to your door for $169. Shipping would be less for closer states to Indiana.
