17 inch wheels and tires
I have a set of brand new 17 inch wheels for sale. I bought them and the backspacing doesn't work on my car. I had my axles shorten to much! They are image "Halibrand" type wheels. These are an ultrra light wieght three piece wheel. Polished rims with black centers. The rear rims are 11.5 inches wide with a 6.5 in backspacing and the fronts are 8 inches with a 4.75 inch backspacing. They have 4.5 bolt spacing with lug nuts and spinners. The tires are Nitto 555R tires that have been machine heat cycled and look great. I will seperate if someone is interested. I paid $1000 for the rims and $800 for the tires plus the heat cycling! I would like to have $800 for the rims and $700 for the tires.

I bought these from another CC member "Gatorac" If you do a search for him under parts forsale, you can see the wheels. They are beautiful, they just don't fit my new car.

Dlampe
I am waiting for a reply from DScott (owner of Classic Roadsters)as to whether these wheels will fit my Classic Roadster cobra. Are they still available? I checked out the pics you suggested. They look nice. Do you have any pics with your tires mounted?

"The rear rims are 11.5 inches wide with a 6 in backspacing and the fronts are 8 inches with a 4 inch backspacing"
Gatorac has them at 6.5" and 4.75" backspacing.
Which is correct ??
As you found out it doesn't take much for them not to fit.
Thanks for the tire sizes.

Gatorac is correct, I was mistaken. Thanks for catching that. I would like to add that the tires do not hang over the rim much, maybe 1/8 of an inch. I won't be able to get a picture of the wheels mounted for a few days.
