Question Fuel Safes vs. Fuel Tanks

I was going to buy a fuel tank but wanted youse guyses imput on the subject. Looking over the rear frame/body of my High Tech Aluminum Cobra is making me wonder what if.
I live in So California where between the immigrants, illegal aliens and little old ladies who cant see worth a darn through their coke bottle glasses, I am thinking it might be good idea. Anyone knows what fuel safe fits good and is not 1/2 of NASSA's budget? Thanks.

Go ahead and contact the various fuel cell manufacturers directly. They may already have a unit for your car. If not you will still get some idea of the cost of one, custom or not. Obviously you and your passenger are safer with a fuel cell.

Michael4yah,
I would have to agree with crillyiv. You dont have to spend a fortune and the safety you get in return will be worth it. Check out Jaz Fuel Cells as well as Fuel Safe. Jaz Cells are available in many sizes and designs. They are foam filled and have roll-over protection and the model I have has a 20 gauge steel tub surrounding it. It has all of the high dollar cell safety stuff at a great price. Look for the cells at www.jegs.com or www.summitracing.com .

I am running RCI fuel cell that has foam and rollover protection. I think I spent around $300.00.

Just remember if it doesn't have a bladder it realy isn't a fuel cell, just a fuel tank whith foam baffling. www.racerpartswholesale.com ( 1800-397-7815 ) has a fuelsafe cell 22 gal for 477.90 . Whith out the bladder it doesn't provide any rupture protection, the only thing the foam does is keep the fuel from sloshing around in the tank. Hope this helps.
