Does anyone know if this motor will fit in a Cobra Kit car? I know that a 428 High Riser will fit but the pan is pretty low and drags.

The 427 top oiler is an FE motor just like 352-290-427-428. It is an earlier version of the 427. Many were used in boats as well as cars. I owned a 64 427 in a lightweight Galaxie post called a Custom way back in 1968, It ran fine, the only problem I had was the headgaskets. The ones you get today from Felpro are a lot better than the old ones. Buying 427s is a real education. Id make sure it would pass a magneflux and pressure test before I handed over the money; Those tests done at a competant shop that knows FEs will set you back about 200.00 but well worth it. Good Luck.
