There's an enthusiasts that turned out to live just a few miles from me. He's been extremely happy with his Team-Lift.
We're hoping that All Star Lifts are the same lift.
If so, it's awesome quality and everything for 1900 bar one additional jacking tray .. no shipping.
I tried asking Autolifters through my channel if there was an AutoLift in the area that I could go inspect ... there were none.
I have their literature and like all sales material is convincing, but I have to see one in person.
I'll keep you all posted.

And yes, I've been looking at more brands of lifts over the past year than you can shake a stick at!

Its a sad day when Americans will turn their backs on their fellow American workers for just a couple hundred bucks on a 2 K item! Why stop here why dont we all go down and buy ourselves a new honda pickup while we're at it. Obviously I dont know what each of your group do for a living but if any of you work at jobs that produce something here that someday could be made overseas I'd think twice about what your doing. We dont have to be conquered. We're handing it to them!

I don't want to turn this into an economics debate...
We're going to try to buy American ... so back off !!!!
Why don't you call "American Automotive Equipment" and give them some grief for reselling Chinese made lifts!?!

Michael4Play and any others...
This is a nice simple thread. Leave it that way.
If you feel the need to wax on about economic issues...do it in the Lounge.

Seems like you have more people than you anticipated getting. What do you think the discount will be for any particular range of numbers. Say 15... or whatever. Or, are you already at the max discount?

I'm not sure but we'll find out because as always a fraction of people that are interested sometimes don't follow through for one reason or another...
but I do hope that we can get some better pricing and/or another high profit margin option thrown in -- like two jacking trays.

Coleman I sent you a PM concerning lifts.. I allready have one.. works fine for me and Boyd.. I also got a few extras.. rolling bridge hydraulic jack, a must if you can afford it..lets you lift tires off of ramps to do brake work, etc. rolling oil drain pan..drip pans..... car sits a little to low for bridge jack to roll all the way from front to back of car.. so when I need to use it I just place a 2x8 under rear wheels when I pull car onto lift. My friend has a backyard buddy and there is no place for the rolling jack to sit as it has no guides welded onto ramps, just the ramps only.. he has to order his from them at almost twice the cost..my lifting cross beams ride inside the columns, with a double safety air lock system, his ride on the outside..my lift has 2 hydraulic lins to cylinder, his has only one, by the way I paid a lot less for mine also, if you want I can post a picture and if you buy the same brand I can give you some pointers on putting it togeather as I did my own..

Rolling jack cost me $950.. if it wasn't for people like me the economy would be lousy... I have done every thing I possibly can to get this Country rolling again..and in doing so I am now broke so I will turn the duty over to you to keep it going. When I die people wont have to wonder where I spent my money as they will be tripping over every thing I bought. I will post some pics tomorrow as it is raining and nasty here in South Florida

Coleman, go ahead and bump me up to two, four post lifts.
Does anybody know about how long it takes to assemble a 4 post lift?

It can take quite a while.. ramps are heavy need some type of jacking system or a fork lift.. some have used a engine lift to get ramps on.. they recommend you set them around 4ft off of ground so you can bolt them to cross beams, etc.. it took me 4-5 hours to do mine as I screwed up a couple of times... could do it again in 2 hours with a fork lift.. Bend Pak hd-9... also it can take a while to unpack unit, depends on how it is shipped..

Michael4yah, about 13 lifts w/ two now wanting two each.
southernfriedcj, please reply to my e-mail cuz it's hard keeping handles and e-mails straight.
they say it takes two to three hours with four people only to move the long ramps/runways into place. so being anal, that'll take me a whole weekend. lol
i have so many friends/people around here buying that we'll most likely help each other do the install and we'll have it down after two or three.
thanks to trs900, i'm also getting a quote for Bend Pak units to consider.

Assembling a Lift
It took me about 4 hours. My 17 year old step-son assisted, and he doesn't know the difference between an adjustable wrench and a shifter boot.
You can lead 'em to water but you can't make 'em drink.

Tom: Sweet looking garage. How high are your ceilings? What is the MAX height your lift will go, and do you know what the total height is WITH the Cobra loaded? (say.......from floor to top of windsheild or rollbar -whichever is higher on your car).
