Default 8.8 5 lug disk rear end

I am looking for an 8.8 mustang 5 lug disk rear end. Prefer 3.27 or higher gear ratio and close to Chicago or willing to ship at a reasonable rate.

I originally built my Cobra with a 3.27:1 rear end and found it was too high geared. I assume you are probably running a T-5 or Tremic in which case you may want to consider at least 3.50 : 1
gears. I switched to 3.73 : 1 rear end and it made a tremendous difference in the performance. Just taking off from a stop light became much easier and my overall performance improved as well.

Just some thoughts if you are going to spend the money. Do a search in this section for a chart that Jeff Frigo provided me within the last two weeks. His chart will allow you to put in your transmission, rear gears and calculate the speed at various RPM's.

Here is the chart if I copied it correctly: If not it is under "Speed/RPM Calculations" on the second page back under "Shop Talk"
