Default Those incredible "Cobra-tail" trailers

I decade or so ago, I saw (in some mag) a trailer for cobras which essentially was the tail-end of a cobra (or a facsimile thereof). Has anyone ever heard of this? Even more intriguing would be if they still manufactured them.
If you have any insight into this weird rig, let me know. Thanks.

Randy Hunter is working on a Cobra Trailer using the back half of his body with a cobra nose bonded just in front of the back of the cockpit. http://216.87.18.119/hunters

Default GlasTech Trailers (by Unique)

Fred -

I would imagine the trailer you are speaking of is the ones sold by Bill Keller of GlasTech in Harveysburg, Ohio. I saw them at Carlisle several times in the mid-nineties. At the time, my car was not finished, so, even though I KNEW I wanted one of those trailers, I thought I'd better get my car done first.

Unfortunately, Mr. Keller passed away before I got a chance to buy a trailer from him.

Unique Motorcars has the molds. I understand that only a half-dozen or so trailers were built. The Weavers so far have felt that there was not enough market to bring the product back. I have spoken to them several times, trying to get at least a body made. When I last spoke to Alan at Carlisle (May, 2002), he talked like something was in the works, but he gave no details (I got the impression that someone other than Unique was going to market them).

Maybe if everyone who was interested in one called the Weavers (256-546-3708), they might be convinced there is enough demand to bring the little trailers back.

In the meantime, I have bought a small trailer and a spare fiberglass body - which I hope to put together sometime later this year. I want one of these trailers to pull my handicap cart behind my Cobra, so I don't always have to take my truck with me (to carry the cart).

regards,

Jeff
