'69 428CJ Dual Vacuum Distributor wanted.
Hiya, I am looking for a 1969 distributor for my 428SCJ motor - the SCJ & CJ ones are the same, but I need the 4 speed distributor with the dual vacuum unit - Dist part number is C8OF-12127-H, the vacuum unit is C8AZ-12370-A. A date code for a May 21st car would be lovely, but beggars can't be choosers!
Money or swap for a MSD pro-billet electronic distributor + cap + MSD plug leads in almost new condition (about 2-300 miles), with money to top up value either way.
Thanks
Jeff

Why on earth would a guy want the dual vaccum distributor? Seems to me the one side of the vac was a RETARD the timing side?

Dual vacuum distributor
Hello, from what I understand, the retard part of the vacuum module is for retarding the timing at high rpm when you take your foot off the gas - to stop the motor backfiring. Plus, in a pathetic attempt to make the car as original as possible - that's what it came out of the factory with... And it was NOS at a reasonable price!
