Ok Fritz I emailed the pics to the Mechanics and I’m waiting for them to tell me what will be our next Step... But I think they have more questions about the rooftop so I’m goanna go ahead and give them your email if they want to ask you anymore questions for the rooftop.

On ERA web site in the index , they list Dick Powell For custom hard tops 1-207-0469-2165
Also there is a person here ( Bill Andrews) who does shelby builds , he might be able to get you one .
Also the local superformance dealer ( Bill O ) here would get you a after market one .

Unique Motorcars, in Gadsden. AL, makes a real nice 289 GT hardtop (fastback design). You would have to modify your trunk lid. There ph. # is 256.546.3708 or email; www.uniquemotorcars.com

Intresting post. I paid $1000.00 for my hardtop and I don't think 2K for an original is unreasonable (regardless of the condition).

Did you ever land a hard top? Tops SAI sold with and for Cobras were made in the USA. I know Berry made some of them.
I would recommend you find a 1960s Cobra with a hard top and ask the owner if you may sit it on yours to check fit. An origianl top may or may not fit a rebodied car. It may also not fit over most custom roll bars. I have a hard top that came with a car I purchased last year. It is the vinyl cover "Landau" version. There are no side widows and no attachement hardware. It has not been used for decades because of roll bar interference.
