For my opinion the price for this unsigned book 1751.00$ was exorbitant to high!!

I would say the price should be:
Unsigned 800$ - 900$
Signed 1200$ - 1400$

Depending on the status of the book!

This is my opinion, based on the price they where sold the last three years.

But as NOBUDY is replaying my thread with some real price suggestions for both versions, it is all only speculation from my side!!

I would say that is a pretty good estimate. But; It's really whatever someone is willing to pay, when it gets right down to it, isn't it?

My 43 autographs edition might be 'finally' uwrapped, and the autograph sheets nicely framed, for the 40th anniversary (July 4th, 2005) of the World Championship.

David K. is absolutely right----Pete Brock is one heck of a nice guy, and it is most unfortunate that he isn't given the present day credit that he so richly deserves for the work on the original Daytona Coupe.

His exclusion from the Monterey Historics a couple of years ago, which showcased Ford's racing history, and was accompanied by many of the principals of that era, was totally unforgivable.

Hopefully you will not remove the autograph pages just to frame them, that to me would ruin the book.

I think I'll put a ridiculously high price on my signed copy of $2800. Right now, I don't think anyone would pay that amount. That way my heirs, 50 years from now can have it appraised on the Antiques Roadshow and get a big surprise.

Loosely framed.......... Not glued. I would never do anything to hinder the value of that book. And; certainly, it would be even better to 'never' open it.

You know.. about 3-4 years when I was selling the 43 autographs (sealed) Editions (17 or so) on eBay; the highest price paid was $600.00. Don't you know that any of those fine folks that saw that recent auction of $1751 for an unsigned copy, are just grinning from ear to ear now.

where do you find the book number?

The '43' Autographs numbered edtion has the number on the back of the slipcase. And; on the Chassis plate (xxx/400) that is affixed inside the cover.

That is the only numbered edition.
