Where can I get an Oil Puke Tank?

Well, the motor should be here this week. So, I'm trying to collect all the do-dads I need to finish the car. One think I haven't been able to find is the blasted OIL PUKE TANK!

I called Kirkham, and they don't have any for sale...maybe if you buy the whole car? I've called Finishline, and left a mesage. Called Southern Automotive, no dice. Called ERA, they tell me that they don't have any, and that their supplier isn't making any at the moment. Called MotorSports International, nobody picked up the telephone.

Who should I try next...Cobra Restorers? Other suggestions? Anybody know for sure who has them in stock, or wants to sell me theirs?

Are we on the cusp of a great PUKE TANK SHORTAGE? Is the federal government involved? What about Haliburton? Perhaps this is a business opportunity for some enterprising illegal ...aliens. I know I'd be willing to grant citizenship to some poor soul who'd make me a quality puke tank for a fair price, wouldn't you?

HELP, Ron R

The tanks were from Kohler roto tillers and lawn mowers & stationary engines. Search around the lawnmower shops or rental yards (expired equipment) if you are so inclined.

Ok, I see a bit of clarification is required.

I'm looking for an ORIGINAL style puke tank for a 427. Not just ANY puke tank.

Thanks, Ron R

Cobra Restorers, out of stock.

Finish Line, ...doesn't carry them. I called.

I can't believe that it is this difficult to find these things. Its not like they weren't common to all original 427s.

Other ideas, anyone?

Try Motorsports International - that's where I got mine.

I looked it up on the internet - address and phone#:

MOTORSPORTS INTERNATIONAL
10298 Hawley Road
El Cajon California 92021
(619) 390-9080, FAX (619) 390-9086

They are a Mom and Pop operation so if you have trouble getting them, just keep trying. Good Luck

Thanks to the generosity of a CC member, my puke tank needs appear to be filled.

If I hear more about sources, I'll be sure to post them on this thread.

Thanks to all.

Shelby Automobiles in Vegas has "puke tanks". Why didn't you try them? I just bought two from them.

I decided to tape an air-sickness bag to the firewall.

Actually, I thought that their cars didn't use them, otherwise I would have given them a call.

So far, no returned call from Motorsports International...(posted just for followup). I think I have one via a private party.

Just some followup, got a call from Bill at Motorsports International. Says they'll have them in stock very soon, price $195.

What is Shelby asking for an oil puke tank? Didn't see it listed on their web site.

Or, anyone out there have one they want to sell?
Thanks!

Oil puke tank, Why would a engine need one:confused:
It would seem to me if your engine is puking oil, a tank would be the least of your problems:eek:
