John,

I am interested but I need to know the gearing and wheather it is a 28 or 31 spline. Feel free to call me at 918-633-5336 and I can tell you how to tell the gearing and spline count. Or if you had rather send me an email and I can respond back. Sorry, if I am trying to tell you something you already know how to do!

email me at either: tulsacobra@valornet.com or clharlan@duke-energy.com

I have a completely rebuilt 9" with 3:00 gears, 28 spline, Torque Loc posi...$400.00 + shipping

Thanks Tommy,

But I need at least 3.31 gears (am running the close ratio Toploader -1st gear is 2.32 : 1). An ideal gearing would be something like a 3.42 : 1 but I don't think that ratio is availabel in a 9".

what ratio is your old one ?

Clois Harlan 07-06-2006 01:10 PM

I have had an 8.8 w/ 3.54 gears in my Cobra for six years and never had a problem but I am wanting to do some suspension mods and I thought I would convert over to a 9" while I was at it. Makes sense doesn't it. However, I do have a 3.00 9" third member in my garage but it has the WAR case on it and I didn't want to put any GOOD Gears in that case.

I have been stung on ebay the last couple times and I dont' want to get something here that heavy and then have to ship it back etc.

SSSNOT,

No hot date I just don't want to wait until the last minute to do things. I was planning on going to Road America in August. Just want time to check for other problems that may arise.
