Default Looking for Original AC Ace and Cobra: The Restorer's Guide to AC, Bristol, and Ford

Hi.

I'm looking for a copy of Original AC Ace and Cobra: The Restorer's Guide to AC, Bristol, and Ford Engined Cars Ace, Aceca and Cobra by Rinsey Mills. I've checked with B&N and Amazon but it does not appear to be in print currently. Please let me know if you have a copy that you are willing to part with. Thanks

Not willing to part with mine, but if you have a specific section you're interested in reading I could probably copy a few pages for you. It's a good book, by the way. You trying to solve a particular tech question, or just letting the Cobra obsession get the best of you (as I have...). Heh, heh...

Thanks. I haven't had too much of a chance to look at a copy of the book yet so I'm not sure what to ask for. We were at a local car show and spoke to an ERA owner who suggested the book as a good reference for any build.

Can you suggest any other books that may be as useful as this one?

Thanks for the list. I'll spend some time to see what I can find at the local bookstores.

If you had to limit which ones to use for reference as you are building, which ones would you recommend to pick up initially?

Most of these are out of print. Finding copies, mostly from internet sources, is a subset of the Cobra madness. The ones that can be ordered new from a bookstore are:

Cobra: The First 40 Years, Trevor Legate
AC Cobra, Rinsey Mills

The Rinsey Mills book isn't the one you asked about but, rather, a later work by the same author. Trevor's new book is the gold standard.

Good Luck!

I recently got "The Cobra-Ferrari wars" and it has to be one of the top Cobra books I have ever seen:

Thanks Saltytri and Kris-Kincaid. I'll take a look at these and plan on adding them to my reference material as I proceed with my build.
