I am polishing my car, and have gotten aluminum dust stains on my meatballs.

I couldn't find anyone who produced the period-correct size of gumballs. All the ones I found on the internet were too small. So I had a local shop who does vinyl decaling for race cars produce mine, which are 19" in diameter on the sides, and 17" diameter on the nose and trunk.
They are a "permanent" vinyl with adhesive backing, so once you remove them they are destroyed, and you'll have to purchase another set if you want to go back to racing livery. They don't damage the finish below.
The price for my gumballs, numbers, and FIA nose stripe was $250 installed (which took the guy about 2 hours).
All my contingency decals are the removable vinyl cling type from Finishline, and they have never come off at speed (and I've had it up in the 140 range).
