Default Georgia reg.

I am looking for a spf or backdraft, I live in atlanta,ga. We have emissions for the 80's and up,I cant remember the exact cut off. I need a 1965 reg to get a tag (I am guessing) My question is what states should I avoid while searching for cars. if they say titled as 65,I should be ok in Ga right?
Any other advice,I dont want to find the perfect car and find out I have problems at the DMV.
Sorry for the dumb question,I have put alot of time in what I want on the car,but zero time in what it will take to get a reg.

I have been waiting on the perfect car to come that is already a Ga car,but it looks like I will need to expand my search.

Thanks

In GA if a car has already been titled in another state or GA. Your registration will be the same. A 85 or later does not need emissions testing. A 25 year old vehicle is historic in GA.

Also there is a GA forum page here titled AC Cobra under Club Forum. You should have posted there.

One more thing! If your 65 and up, and you drive less then 5,000 miles. You can file for an exemption with any car older then 10 years. I just thought I would throw it out here.
