Anyone Been to the CA DMV recently?
Arnold has fired all the temp workers at the DMV and then he'll taking everyone else down to $6.55/hour. I'm sure everyone will be working even faster now
I hope no one needs to finish up their SB100 in the near future...uh, like me.

Heard about this on tonights news (CH2 Oakland).
If you have to go, i would be friendly and ask how they are doing, they are just regular people and have a job to do, show some concern and compassion and it will be returned.
There is a TON of pressure on the Govy to get a budget in place so this hopefully will be wrapped up in a matter of weeks (2 to 3 ) from the news.

I'm sure it will get solved at some point, and I don't have to complete my registration in the next month or so, thus I'll be alright. I think. However, at the moment, the lines and wait are very long.
Can you imagine if this stalemate stretches out until the 2009 SB100 Golden Ticket Mad Rush?

You should be fine for regular registration stuff if you just make an online appointment in advance. If you don't have an appt, the best time to show up and wait is first thing Monday when they open.
Probably business as usual for the SB100 class of 2009...good/bad depending on which office you visit and whether they cross your docs up with someone else's. Don't ask Rodney about this...

OK, I give up. In my best 2001 Space Odyssey computer voice..."Scott, what are doing?" I'll bite. Coupe, GT40 or other? If other, please specify. :lol
By the way, I thought I would join the frivolity, just for old times sake in 2009. Wake up early, get my number and thrown into a loop of DMV paperwork snafus. If I can sell my Corvette, I may get in line with you.

Rodney next up is the coupe. Couldn't find a comfortable fit in a 40 so I'm going to skip that one for now. Considered the RCR Superlite Coupe but decided to stick with the Cobra theme for now. Maybe next round. Hope SB100 for '09 will go as smooth as my last one did.

Which Coupe? SPF or my favorite, a Kirkham?
If the Vette was sold, then I might do/buy a Coupe, possibly a 40, but a 289 slabside might be the best choice for me. I like convertibles.

Oh, and just check and recheck the paperwork BEFORE leaving the counter!

No. I would like the Kirkham but too pricey for a toy..
I'm either going to get one from Lesher or FFR.
