Strange VIN on a Cobra???
There has been a lot of talk about kit cars with questionable titles and I saw one that I wanted to ask opinions about.
I saw a Cobra kit recently that had what I would consider a strange looking vin. It was 7y83n200275. It looks like a Ford VIN but is not quite right. If the 7 is replaced with a 9 it is a 69 Thunderbird with a 429.
The car is a kit that does not use donor parts. It definitely did not have a 429.
Is this a Titles unlimited car? Could the owner have requested this strange number as an assigned VIN. The car was first titled in Michigan in about 2004.
