Default Taking CA. SB100 car to Hawaii?

Does anyone out there know how Hawaii will treat my CA. SB100 registered/smogg exempt Cobra replica when I move there later this year?
Does anyone here have a Cobra replica in Hawaii, or know how they register them?

Things are a lot easier here now. SB 100 doesn't matter one way or the other.
As long as it is titled older than 1968 all you need to be sure of is that the
windshield is DOT approved, you have seat belts, and wipers. I'm not sure
of the order of events but I think you will need to go to DMV first with proof
of insurance, then they may direct you to Recon for an inspection (they look
for the DOT seal on the windshield basically) and give you a letter and
sticker for you door post. Since it is current in CA you may not have to deal
with Recon. You should not have any problems. PM me before you get here
and I can check on the latest for you. Welcome to paradise!

Any/all SB100 CA cars will be titled at 2002 or sooner, since SB100 went into affect in 2002.

donraye - are you going to be on Oahu or one of the other islands?
Oahu (Honolulu County) was the only island that had any kind of a
restriction. I initially registered my CR Cobra on Hawaii and that was no
problem. After the change in rules on Oahu I "brought" the car to Oahu and
just had Recon look at it and paid $10 for the stick on placard. Kauai, Maui,
and Hawaii counties just register it as whatever you had it registered as or
will register it a replicar. No smog here either.

I'll be taking the car to the Big Island, not Oahu. Thanks to all and especially "HI Cobra" or the feedback. I have read and talked to some other sources as well and it seems that there is NO smog checks/tests involved and the safety certification seems pretty straight forwad. So, all seems to be looking good. One lady at the DMV in Hilo, HI. said that Hawaii threats smog as a "naturally occuring substance" and they have no vehicle smog code there. Wow! Compared to the "vog" I guess it's not a big concern.
I think I'll have the only Cobra on the Big Island as far as I can find out, in spite of quite a few rods and collector's cars there.

Hilo, Hawaii is where I first registered my Cobra here. No problems. I
don't know if there are any other cobras there at this time but there have been some there now and then. You must have your insurance no fault card with you to register.
