Road Serpent Delays
After ordering my Road Serpent back in September of 2002, and placing a sizeable deposit down for their "advanced kit", I have yet to recieve one item off their packing list, I've heard all of the excuses, the production facility has been ransacked, the employees rioted, there was a government takeover, the dog ate the blue prints,etc...You name it, I heard it. I've been quite patient about this whole process, but now I hear that they are moving their production from Bongobongo to the Artic Circle, OI VEY!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, with that said, I make this public appeal/question to the owners and operators of Road Serpents Limited, where is my 289FIA Road Serpent

You must be bored today.
By sizeable deposit you must mean you put in your $.02
I heard they were delayed by necessary changes to engine and trans that require repeated installation and removal.
PS: They are not moving production to the Arctic Cirle. That is their way of saying your car will be produced when hell freezes over.

It amazes me that a number of folks in our Cobra community fit into the category of "put up substantial amount of hard-earned cash in good faith and wait years to experience results". Most of you guys are SO PATIENT!! Maybe I'm just getting old and impatient. I couldn't take it! mrmustang, I truly hope that you get more than you expected (in a good way) when all is said and done. I waited TWO DAYS from the time I found my car until it was delivered and that sucked!

Mr. Mustang,
I spoke to Turk the other day regarding delivery of your car. At the present time he is very busy organizing a "farewell tour" of the "facility" he is currently occupying -
He did ask that I convey his apologies to you for the delays but, as you are aware, perfection takes a lot of time.

Hey,
I am sick and tired of people piling on our company.
So we had a little setback. Yes you gave is a deposit, but it is not like you can't do without a car. It is a luxury item, and if we didn't have our legal battles you probably would be driving by now.
12 moths, 14, moths what's the difference?
We asked you for your balance of payment , instead of sending the money you gave us bunch of grief... So, I put someone who is not as tight with money ahead of you.
You will get yours.
I have offered a refund, you won't take it. What do you want me to do?
Customer is not always right... You are a living example of it..
We have been in business over 5 years, and we hope to BE in business for atl east 5 more.
Check the used Cobra market and see why people want OUR cars over anyone else's. It is worth the wait!
You can hardly find one anywhere.

ps. Bill, don't listen to that Tony guy,. Good thing he is not one of my customer. he sounds like he wants to fight over a car, because he don't have the patience.. Sue me!

These folks are too negative! Mr. Road Serpents is a vissionary, why if it weren't for him and there were actually some Road Serpents delivered, there would be no Road Serpents at all!

Actually it was Shelby that was buying out Road Serpents. Apparently Shelby was wanting to acquire the management rather than the vehicles.

Those rumors are NOT true. Cars are far better than the management.
Isn't that the case everywhere?

How's the assembly manual on one of these? I am very very patient. My current manufacturer taught me well.

Best in the industry. As a matter of fact, we have had other manufacturers copying our manual and passing it as their own..
We are thinking litigation..
We have hours and hours of blood sweat and tears in those 6 pages... Don't like being ripped off...

I am selling my POS SPF to purchase a turn key Road Serpent. Are the rumors of production delays true? I have tried to schedule a tour of their production facilities, but the General Manager seems to forget what we agreed upon during our previous conversations so I am always starting from scratch with him.
Anybody have any input on which is better between the Road Serpent and a Kirkham?
