Not sure if this will work, or if I'm attaching this right. Video quality is OK, sound is poor. First time with the go pro camera. It will give you an idea what that track was like. maybe someone can add a better video the thread.
I wasn't able to click and watch on CC but if you click the link on the bottom it works just fine.
Clois - sorry I was unable to make it this year. What were you thoughts on how this year compared to last (minus the rain).....(i.e. track length, speeds, turns, etc).

I really liked the track and the hospitality of Hastings was very much appreciated. I love going to St. Louis but this year was absent of the constant nudging of the Gateway staff to make more money, sell more shirts, charge spectators, etc. The lambasting of the entire field by one of the Gateway staff for one persons mistake was missing. In short if the location catches on this will be a great event next year because Run N Gun is wanted in Hastings, Nebraska. We had 33 paid participants and everyone that I talked to was looking forward to next year because of the new 2.18 mile track, the generous run offs, and total atmosphere of the event was more enjoyable.
What I missed was the garages but at most road courses we don't have no stinkin garages. The other thing I missed was that St. Louis is a bit closer for me but not enough for me to complain about. Wife and I got a lot of one on one conversation which we never seem to have time to do in our daily lives. Next year will be better and bigger. Some really good idea's have emerged from some of our regulars.

I agree w/ Clois on his assessment of the track vs Gateway. Auto cross was very different being on a track vs a parking lot. I'm not big on autocross, but it was different, but still fun. Thinking back on it, I do like the track in Hastings better, more turns, more technical, but still 2-3 very fast stretches. I was concerned it would be too flat, but it really wasn't. Gateway is actually flatter, which is no suprise b/c its on an infield. George was a great host too. A couple of us had mechanical issues and he sent us over to his machine shop 3 miles away where his mechanic fixed us right up. I doubt I could have gotten that done very easily in St Louis. I'm looking forward to going back, its a little farther, but not much from Tulsa anyway.
I'm confident we worked thru a few minor bugs this year (acutally barely noticable) and that next year it will be even better.

I have to ditto what Clois and Mat have said about RnG this year. I was at the event in St Louis with out a car. It was not much of an atmosphere in St Louis. Hastings was much more of a family atmosphere. Every one was having a great time and George was a very generious host. I felt like I was really appreciated and made sure I had a great time.
I am already making plans for next year not just for the car but for the time in Hastings.
(Clois when is RnG 2011? )

I wish the quality was better, but you can see the line fairly well. YouTube always degrades. Sound is good becasue I used an external powered mic ... This is 10 min of a 23 min session. I edited out the warm up and cool down laps and a couple laps in the middle.
