answering the question "is Run N Gun always in Oklahoma"? The answer is no, in fact this is the first year for RNG to be in Oklahoma. Over the past 25 or so years Run N Gun has been held in places like Phoenix, Indianappolis, Many years in St. Louis, Hastings, Nebraska and this year in Tulsa. I understand in the early years Run N Gun was held in several other places as well.
Maybe two years here in Tulsa and then move it East or West. Gordon Levy has expressed an interest in having it back in Phoenix and Mid Ohio would also be a great location (if we can afford to rent the track for three consecutive days)?

Thanks Clois! I will have to keep watching and go at some point in the future. Not too far in the future I hope, maybe next year?! Then I'll have even more track experience

i would love to be on a track with a bunch of Cobras! I am sure I could learn alot by watching how others run their cars.
But it falls right around my wedding anniversary and the Wife and I have plans that are not involving my cars (gasp!!!)
Maybe next year, bring it to Watkins Glen !!

Watkins Glen sounds like a great place to have Run N Gun!!! I would pull my trailer for 20 hours to make that one!

i'm gonna try to be there. do the thursday track thing and see if i last through that to do the rest. staying at the track, bringing 2 loaves of bread, peanut butter and jelly--second loaf for visitors. hope the showers are hot. don't know if i'm gonna use pilot sports or the a6 tires, small problem with the backspacing on the track rims. car is a small block btw, but......
this is the car i'm gonna use, will be for sale btw.

I wasn't there, but was told his car took a sharp left at Putnam coming out of the pits and a guardrail was in the way.

I'd like to drop the car and trailer off Wednesday night. That way I do not have to navigate to the hotel with the trailer. Hello CLois a little help?

Wednesday night is fine to come in to park and stay. Clois will be there till about 6:30 pm. Gates close at 6:00, but he may be able to keep them open a little longer.
I'll bring my trailer out Wed or Thursday, maybe even have a PB&J with Mark. Mark, I'd try the A6s if I were you. Looks like air temps will be in the lower 70s. I don't think those A6s need much heat to work well.

thanks matt, that is what we needed to know.
if i use the a6's on this car i might have to start a collection fund to pay for the engine when the oil crawls up the side of the block, pilot sports might suffice but there is still the risk..

Mark we will have several camping at the track starting Wednesday night so I will find out who will be there on Wednesday and send you their phone numbers so if by chance the track is closed they can let you in. Great to know you are coming. I have been wanting to meet you in person for a long time.
