Default Run N Gun Acknowledgements....Please Read!

Hello everyone and please allow me to offer up some sincere thank you's to all the folks that made the 2012 Run N Gun so much fun.

Again, we continue to enjoy a fun and safe event. Mostly because all of our participants know this is for fun and nothing more. Yes, there are awards given to many of the participants, but the focus of the event is and always has been the safety of the drivers and everyone being able to return home the way they left. Ah yes, we want you to have some fun too!

First I want to recognize some very key people that came to Run N Gun without their cars just to help out: Jay Nordstrom drove up from Dallas to help us get all the drivers on and off the track with the help of Bill Frimpter who also drove in from New Mexico to help with tech. Both of these guys are long time Run N Gunners that have made this event possible in so many ways. Another person that really needs to be recognized is Rick Lake who hauled his ERA all the way from New Jersey to participate and help. Rick spent more time helping than participating and Sammy Watson and others are thankful for his help.

On another level this event could not have happened with the support of people like Fran Hall (RCR/SLC), Mike Bernhardt (Arrow Manufacturing), Chuck White (Just Chuck), Brent Lykins (B2 Motorsports), Dean Lampe (Wells Fargo Advisors), David Williams (Fastlane Classic Cars), Mike Mclaughlin (Hurricane Motors), Roger Upton (RUCC), Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, Barry McGill (McGill Hotrods), Mike Boyce (BA Powder Coating), Gary Krause (Mongoose), Larry Goins (JBL), Kit Car Builder Magazine, Jerry Ritenauer Photos' and others that sponsored our advertising and promotions.

Additionaly I want to thank those that helped me with the organization and implementation of Run N Gun: Mark Earls (Web Design and artistic contributions-He is GREAT!!!), Dean Lampe (Always has something to say as an emcee), Mat Twiehaus (the analytical part of our team), my wife Sharon Harlan (who handles registration and posting all the results for each of the drivers). Additionaly, I need to personally thank Chris O'Donnell that came in from Laguna Beach with Kent Morgan and Scott Holley for his guidance and help with our Auto Slolum.

As you can see this event involves the efforts of many people and has been one of the most frustrating and rewarding experiences I have ever had. I highly recommend that if the opportunity arises for any of you to get involved with an event you care about to offer up your assistance whether it be along the lines of Run N Gun or your neighborhood home owners association. You don't need to be an expert in anything to help out. Your presence is priceless.

Finally, a huge thank you to all of our participants, many of whom drove hundreds of miles and spent their hard earned money on fuel and upgrades to their cars so they could be a part of this great event. From the bottom of our hearts we all thank you. Look for next years dates in the coming weeks.

Sincerely,

Your Run N Gun Directors:
Clois Harlan
Dean Lampe
Mat Twiehaus
Sharon Harlan
