Thanks Bill. I have alot to be thankful for. My T bucket, which was my prototype chassis for the C5 stuff ran 1:11's with the stock run flat tires, stock 400hp engine, brakes, rubber bushings, ect. And, that's with me driving. Besides taking the Boundurant road racing school the only times I have been on a track is at Run n Gun. The T bucket had a fuel pick up problem and the engine would cut completely off in the decreasing radius turn and it was running so rich that it was fouling plugs. I later found a vacum port that I had missed. The computer was in the default mode.
Since I have to compete in the Manufacturers class now I think that I will put slicks all the way around. I think that I can get down to the GTP times (maybe not with me driving!) and with more power even be the first car to officially break the 1 minute time! I am trying to decide to lengthen and widen a Cobra skin on it, run it as the T bucket, but a Dragon body of it, or a 1999 Panoz LMP inspired body that I am working on! Choices, choices, choices! It's all so much fun.
By the way, I am filing for 3 patents for my new car. Two on the chassis and 1 for the C5 differential conversion. I also have can put all wheel drive in my car! The Vette spindles are the same front and back meaning that the drive axle hubs from the rear will bolt in the front. The diff can be set up to have the input from the rear, meaning that the same great 3:42 diff can be used front and back. I am working on hooking up a torque splitting transfer case. The passenger compartment space may be compromised to allow space for the driveshaft. Can you imagine my chassis, with all wheel drive, with a Panoz body, and one of Shwartz's 730 hp engines running on slicks!!
Probably would scare me to death, but would be fun! There's always the next project.
Have a great day. Oh yeah, keep an eye out for my new book, "Too Stupid To Quit!"
