Default Recognition Needed to Steve Clement

As many of you know Run N Gun Nationals supports the efforts of Operation Comfort-Automotivation. During our awards banquet Gateway provided a package of first class amenities for an upcoming Nascar event for us to auction off as a means of raising money for Operation Comfort. We had many people bid on that package and as a result Mongoose out bid everyone and won the package with a $2500.00 bid. Additionally, it was suggested that we "pass the hat" among those in attendence which netted over $2000.00. Hershel Byrd and John Chestnut stepped up and made a nice donations that brought the total amount to $5000.00 which Jay Nordstrom matched.

Steve Clement nor his brother Morris Clement did not make our banquet due to some personal plans they had and were unaware of our charity fund raiser. However, on Saturday Steve brought a check in the amount of $2500.00 made out to Operation Comfort. His generosity was totally unsolisited but very much appreciated. With Steve Clement, Gary Krause at Mongoose, John Chestnut, Hershel Byrd, everyone in attendance plus Leslie (our bartender who donated everything in her tip jar) raising a combined $12,500.00 for Operation Comfort. By the way this was in addition to all the contributions of tools, tool boxes, and equipment obtained by Loren Edwards throughout the year, litterally a couple thousand dollars in merchandise. Everything goes 100% to Operation Comfort!

Thank you one and all so very much.

Operation Comfort - Automotivation is a great idea and an extremely worthy cause to support. The amount of money raised and the generosity of the run n gun participants was amazing. I do not deserve to be included with the names of the people that, God Bless them, were able and did give so much. I made a very modest gift, one that I could afford. My thought wasthat if a lot of us gave even a little it would ad up. I am sure that I am not the only one that had that idea. I am proud that our small group was able to give what they did. God bless Jay and others that are involved on a daily baises. God bless our soldiers and especially those that have suffered injuries and that have made the ultimate sacrafice. John

Thumbs up

Clois,
This is really some of the best news I've heard from our Run & Gun family.
It was really special to be there and see what a room full of like folks can do. Steve and Morris ... what can we say .
You guys are really incredible. Not only are you generous to the Operation Comfort but you guys are always there to help the novice racers out. If I need some info on driving the track you guys always take the time to answer.

I thank all the folks that helped

Hersh
