This std board works great, will drop off the templates after I am done when we work on the final alignment
Should be done under hood this week. Interior floors next weekend.
This part is fun as it brings closure to a long overdue project.

Very cool template work on the inner fenders Jeff! Did original comp cars not have the rubber splash guards above the springs?
I figured they were the same as street cars.

Larry
All these cars have been changed since day one. I assume you mean the rubber sheets that span the leaf?
All the comp cars I have been with had the rubber. For now I am good, will add it later. Want to get the driving started.
2136, 2290 and 2345 all have it.
Guessing they all did, however have seen two dragonsnakes void the rubber

This is the rubber splash guard I was referring to. You're right, it could be added later if you wanted though.

Very nice! Putting a plate on the front is always psychological blow. How did you mount yours?

You mean the flat part in the cowl?
I did it up like 2136, I have front tubes that go under the cowl which provided mounting points on all corners.
Or you mean the license plate? Mounted with ally part, as OEM mounts were done.
289 cars mounted the plate straight to the body via a small alloy part. 427 used the spring loaded bumper position.

I couldn't mount my license plate there. It would have blocked the oil cooler. I mounted it from underneath. Scoops look good!

I thought about not running a plate. Chances are I would get pulled over regularly. There were two bolts underneath for the cooler shroud so I just went ahead & fashioned some brackets. Plate is ugly on there but, what's a guy to do....

Ever since the Vermont Strong plates came out, you are not required to display your front plate. There is a catch though, you have to have it with you

It's on now & I don't have to worry about it bouncing around in the trunk.
