with camber compensaition the rack has to stay in line with the bottom ball joint and and a arm iner bushes this way there is zero bump steer if you move it up you get problems as the top a arms move in and out on the rocker to adjust camber you will get bump steer

Beautiful sheet metal work as well. Congrats...
Interesting brake calipers. I guess one can never have enough pistons but I do wonder the reason for 5? Are they trying for high beam stiffness or are the pistons of various sizes to give even pad clamping?

Hi Richard we hav been building cars with this sytem for ten years now and have it well sorted now hears some pics of a lotus 7 replica we have built a few hundred of them,
the pistons in the calipers are various sizes and thers ten in the fronts,
thanks Gary

Your comment on the rack having to be in line with the lower control arm to have zero bump steer is not correct......
There's a line between the inner upper pivot (upper control arm) and lower pivot (or lower control arm) that you can have the end of the steering rack mounted on....
And as you guy's get up into larger GT-1 type of cars....you will start to under stand how we have been able to get larger cars to handle on race tracks....and the lower control arms are mounted under the chassis so low that you can't get a steering rack down to that level.
Ackerman works better on Sedan type of cars then on formula cars....
Just trying to give you some of the experience that took us many years to acquire.

Morris, I agree with everything you are saying as long as you are talking about a conventional double A arm system. With the camber compensation system the top A arms are constantly moving in and out to adjust camber and the nearer you are to the top arm the more steering deflection you will get as the arms move.
This web sit explains how camber compensation works.
The Camber Compensation & Anti-Roll (CC&AR) Suspension System

hears some pics of anotherone of our camber compensaition cars that has been racing for a few years it wins regularly even though the othe cars in its class are lighter and run down force ,
it runs a LS3 580 HP and has no truble geting the power down thanks to the camber compensaition,
the other car is my bell jetranger turbine powerd car with the same chassis

Hi Mark plumbing in the engine was a biger job than i expected another header tank for the inter cooler and ducting in the air filter to pull cold air from the side of the radiator,
we have also made some new side mirror mounts and side vents, its getting there now.
Gary.

very nice work. i find the side mirrors useless with all the vibration and limited view going down the road unless a convex mirror is used, looks real nice though. same with the rear view, i switched to a boat mirror from cabelas and makes a world of difference. for the side you can get the round stick-on if you decide to try it.

Moor progress, we went for a different shape bonet scoop just to make the car recognisable as the XCS Cobra,
finished the fuel tank and boot area and sunken twin filler caps, but now we want to re make the roll over bars in bigger dia tube
done all the engine plumbing fuel water and intercooler in front of the radiator and doing the wireing now there is loads of it
