Oh yes - let us not forget the all important windshield wipers. Taken for granted but no easy task.

I believe the glass scoop to be a victim of, "I'm going to all this trouble for an aluminum car? Damn the glass scoop to hell!"

Not on KMP600, though

Hey Jeff, you forgot my points for the Lucas 104 mirror!!! Black crinkle paint goes on the back this week.

Also, most of the early Comp and race Cobras are not drilled for plates as they weren't meant for the road!! I call owners choice.

I would like extra points for my original Enots cap (with red gaskets) and Supertanium bolts. Inspired by CSX3020 - one of my favorites!

Kevin, don't forget the correct bolt spacing on the cas cap flange!

(Thanks to a clubcobra member with an original csx 3000 car that tries his best to keep me on the right path!)

Thanks Doc!!

Kevin, do you give any consideration to "clocking" the Lemans cap at a 45 degree angle (cap opens toward driver's seat) or even straight back (cap opens to front of car)? I've seen several originals with both orientations, but given time and tinkering, perhaps they all came from El Segundo with the perpendicular look as you have given this excellent example? Also, I can appreciate the Supertanium bolts and krinkle-finish backing on the mirror and bracket...love the exacting details.

Hi Steve,

Craig put a lot of time and thought into getting the cap exactly where we wanted it. First, he drilled the correct pattern into the body. He then added the appropriate spacers and gaskets and screwed the cap to the base and tightened the cap. Since the base had no holes drilled in it, Craig was able to locate and clock the cap assembly exactly where we wanted it and then drill the six holes into the base and mount it. I think it came out great!!

If I wasn't painting my car, I would have used an alloy scoop but since I am painting it, it has to be fiberglass!!

I got the process backwards...

Craig tightens the cap to the base with the appropriate spacers and gaskets, drills the base with the appropriate pattern and then transfers the pattern to the body.
