Yes it is. You're doing a meticulously thorough job... but I have to ask, are you going to make a fair return on all of your work? Remember, nobody stays in business just breaking even, much less on labors of love.

Yes, I would there.
Very nice job so far.
A good friend of mine has one car that owes him over $100k (without counting our hours), but he would be lucky to get $20k to sell it. I don't mention that subject too often.

I may be wrong but that looks like a labor of love to me.
When I "retire", I'll keep working but it'll look very different.
It might even make someone ask how I make ends meet.
Superb, as always cobrakiwi. BTW, I may have more goodies you might be interested in.

Looking forward to seeing it there. Let me know where you will be at the track. I think that I will be paddocked next to Superformance.

You will not have a fuel level gauge?

Who needs one. Just use the odometer and figure about 10 mpg and you will be fine.

I have tweaked my Smiths fuel gauge so that it is not "terribly inaccurate." But I still, for the most part, just start looking for a gas station when the odometer passes 100 miles and start really looking hard if I get to 150. Then I just reset the odometer when I fill 'er up.

I actually have 2 outlets on my 42 gallon comp tank - just like the original comp cars. Most of the fuel will be delivered via the mechanical fuel pump, which has the higher pick-up, but if I miscalculate and "run out of fuel", I have a lower pick-up in the tank that is connected to my electric fuel pumps which should give me an additional 50 miles or so of range. Hopefully, I will not need to use the electric pumps too often...

why not just put in a fuel level gauge? if period correct is an issue hide it in the glove box, am I missing something?

Yes you are! The car doesn't have a glove box.

I think this is the last fab job on my list, sway bar!
Starting with making up the old school sway bar mounts.

Looks nice Craig. With those aluminum blocks that sway bar should be nice and stiff. A lot less give than with rubber bushings.

I think you should have incorporated some form of swaybar bushes in your swaybar mount. Since the steel will wear the aluminium.

O, I think they will be just fine!
We can always replace years down the road if they wear out.

As long as you're aware of what might happen if they wear.
Keep up the good work, love the photos.
