Default 3 Link

I believe now the FF has an optional 3 link setup.
I am now working on my 3 link and will have pictures soon.
Once I have completed my install I will post pictures.
Thank you,

Default 8.8" IRS measurements

Hello,
Wow, you guys have done a great job of getting things back on track! Alex - I really like this format.

I had ask have measurements of the 8.8" diff before and Larry (Slabby?) was going to send those. Because of the problem on the site, that info went into outer space somewhere. Larry, if you've got the info, could you send it again? My e-mail is al_keller@earthlink.net if you would rather use that.
Again, great job!

I have done several desert suspensions in the past, in which case the longer the link arm the better, but I'm sure this does not apply to road cars. If I am wanting to set up a live rear axle, how long do I want the link arms to be? What relationship should I look for between link arm atach pionts and CG? Obviously I am looking for ideal world conditions, as I realise there is not much room between the seat and axle. Any help would be appriciated

If anyone is looking for photos of a IRS with a Ford 8.8, take a look at the Hurricane Motorsports site at the following:
http://www.hurricane-motorsports.com/irs.jsp and then click on the photos to enlarge. Just some photos for a look see....

The rear upright in the photo was set up with tapered roller bearings and ran six pin hubs which we make. Thay can also run straight roller for original pin drive hubs. We make different brake brackets depending on the customers preference (girling, wilwood, pbr, etc.)

Question jag rear end, mustang wheels??

I have jag rear end, and a mustang II front end set up complete with rotors.
is there an adaptor that will bolt on to my jag rotors and convert it to fit mustang wheels?

They do use Dana 44 gear sets. The Jags and the Dana 44 use different size crown wheel bolts so one will fit the other after drilling out and tapping. Tapered roller bearings from what Mike?

Surely it would be easier to get front hubs and rotors to match the jag PCD than trying to change the rear. But you could redrill the rear hubs with the Mustang PCD and put the studs in the new holes.

Hey Joey I sold my set up recently but ECI Hot Rod Brakes makes a real nice CNC'd ally front hub for the MII. It is drilled for both 5 on 4.5 and 5 on 4.75 BC's. I have found the 4.75 a good common pattern to work with. If you use pin drive wheels the adapters have both BC's on them too. Troll, I'll throw a tape over a Jag pumpkin when I get home.
