Thanks.

I'll probably have to cut off the rear quarter and fiberglass it back in place. It will be a mess, but if I don't do it, I'll hate the car...LOL

Thanks!

Hey Ron, put a pic in your gallery. Dave and a few others have some experience with glass.

Ron.
Can't be as bad as my doors!
Trying to decide whether to glass up new ones, make aluminum ones or modify the old fiberglass skins that where warped from sitting for ? years.
Then again ..........maybe the doors are fine and it's my body
Welcome to the club.
Dave

I think that has what has happened to my body. It's been sitting for over 10 years now. I will grab some picks this weekend. It is sitting at my neighbor's house in storage.

Thanks all!

Nevermind65..........I think you need to get out and exercise alittle, too much tv, huh!!! And please no pics
Just funnin'
Yeah, fiberglass never seems to cure up completely once out of the mold.
I know Factory Five has a body buck to help maintain body shape while project is under constuction.

Well I'm riding the same boat as you. My body is definitely asymmetrical as I try to build the bird cage things are not lining up, but my body is thin and flexible. When the time comes I plan on adding plenty of new glass in strategic places to tame this beast. Also will be using some kind of foam rubber insulator between cage and body to prevent cracking of paint let's all hope these problems can be remedied without drastic measures. Patrick

We typically have the boat guy leave our bodies in there molds for at least 3 weeks after if sets up, and in the summer when it over 100 for months at a time and only gets under 70 for a month or two, that normally keeps them from screwing around too much. If there are any cobra experts, or experienced builders in the Austin, TX area I would love to have them come by our shop and check it out so I can get an Idea of where our body might need improvement or help. In terms of body shape lines and notable weak links in the body.

I am in tennessee. I will start looking, but you never know what you will get on ebay. Carbon fiber looks so cool; I would not paint my cobra.

Roger Bollick in Austin, TX. has some Carbon fiber bodies. I know he sold a very accurate body and frame only to someone and would probably sell a body only. MUCH stronger than aluminum so it doesn't need a bird cage to support the body.. PM me if you want his number or do a search on CC for his number or try ....New kid on the block new carbon fiber cobra

That body is so nice. I just could not paint it.

I did a search for Roger Bollick and found "rgb@exact.com". Exact.com is not currently an active domain.

The email works for me but the phone number listed gets through to Roger. He may be blocking most emails.

I do not think he will make a body for me. He is mad at me because I posted his public DNS info. He had the nerve to ask me if I know what the internet is. That was out of line!

I have the Linux+, A+ "hardware", and working on the cisco cert.
