Hey long time no post,
Well the parts for my remote filter finally showed up ( I think they had to mine the aluminum). Nice parts, went with some new stuff from Derale they're cast but beefy with SAE oring ports. Lines I made those up at work, I work for a national hydraulics manufacturer / distributor so I get a good discount but I have to do the work.
Now I did get to go on vacation but you will read about that( this story is so me) in another post. Till I post again,

No fire yet, I'm A** hole deep in copper spaghetti. There are a lot of wires to deal with when you go FI. I have gotten though the power box and fuse box and have the computer harness yet to get weeded. Only then can I start to put this all back together. Not difficult just time consuming. Changed gears on engine management, and went with a Motes programmable chip and the stock computer. So I can use the stock tune setup to break in the fresh engine. and do some tuning latter. Now back to wire removal,

Still no fire but close
Well It's been a good long while since an up date has been posted so here we go. Chassis wiring has made much progress, the harness has been made and is ready to be put back into the car for good. While making this I had to remove and replace this many many times. If anyone tells you that wiring their car is easy just laugh at them. Yes it is not difficult but I does take time and patience. now I have about three weeks of evenings and weekends here, and it took all of that to sort out the harnesses from two separate vehicles. The engine and under the hood harness is from a 93 Mark VIII (same as the engine donor) the dash bits are from a 91 F-150 (same source as the steering column). I had diagrams for both that helped a ton, now all of the harnesses had been taken down to bare components and then reconfigured to suit what was needed. Needless to say there was plenty of soldering and shrink tube to go around, but nothing anyone with the patience of a saint couldn't do. Now I still have to wire up the dash and get a few little odds and ends taken care of but I'll just keep plugging along;

As usual, you the man Patrick. I wired a car from scratch one time using diagrams from similar models and made my own harness from scratch. Mine was easy compared to yours as it was prior to all the electronic trickery you are using in your more up to date power plant, and it wasn't a walk in the park for sure. Hpe the fire is in the right place and things that are supposed to glow do and things that are supposed to light are bright....keep on keeping on....

Hey Guys',
Sorry I haven't been keeping everyone up to date on the build. We have the harness all back in the car and have the dash back out of storage and have been getting it ready to make the harness for it. But I'm still on the fence on how I'm going to finish the piece. What would you do, cover it with leather or finish it and paint it to match the car, sorry no carbon fiber way to tacky for my taste.

Patrick, Your question so depends on taste. BUt you asked so my vote would be to cover it in material (your choice) matching the door panels and perhaps use 2 colors of material on tunnel (top and sides would be different) one of which would be used on the dash to give it a pro look. Depends on the seat material you plan to use also I guess, its got be "systems" approach.

Patrick,
I have been following your build for quite some time and I am amazed at your ability's with your manufacturing skills. I am a active owner in a fairly large manufacturing company with a very good CNC department and you do things we might not want to tackle.
I used the same gauges on my JBL car and was very happy with quality of the gauges. The only thing I would like to suggest that what every you cover the dash with, consider adding a 20 degree angle ( or somthing close) to the gauges so that they face the drive seat. These gauges have a large bevel ring and by adding the angle you can read the gauges much easier form the drive seat.
Just a suggestion from someone that has used these gauges.

Machine Turned Stainless
May not be your preference and might not fit the contours but machine turned stainless is pretty amazing if you like the look.
I did .030, 1" turns, laser cut locally here in Ft Worth TX. Cost was $135 for the material from FPM Metals http://www.fpmmetals.com/autopics.htm. They'll send you out a sample pack of the different sizes.

Progress Pics dash wiring
Well have the dash side of the electrical done, so I could mount it in the car and work out the rest of the stuff needed to get the car running. While not Dash is not finished the harness should work fine. It will be removed to put on the finishing touches and covering during the body work stage of the build.
One more thing to check off on my way toward first start.
