Routing fuel and brake lines?
Starting fuel and brake lines next week and I'm having a tough time deciding which way to route them.
Where is the best route to take the fuel/brake lines from front to back so I can avoid the trailing link, IRS mounting points, etc... and not mount them on the bottom of the frame rails? Other than those places, the routing looks pretty straight forward, but then.....?

The obvious,away from the exhaust,never under the frame rails, through them where required.In my case built tin channels to cover lines, and insulated fuel lines.Brake lines, along side fuel until at rearend,then it depends on type rearend used.

Hey Bob fuel lines run along outside of frame inside outriggers on drivers side. We'll talk more about it I have a few good pics for you.

Thanks Nick,
I'm starting on the brake and fuel lines today and the only real problem I'm having is trying to devise a way around the trailing link area. Got the rear brake lines to the "T" installed a couple days ago, now to finish up today.
What is the best way to transition from the hard fuel lines to the soft lines at the tank, fuel filter, and fuel pump? I was thinking some type of bubble flare on the end of the hard lines, but I'm open to suggestions. I may even have enough braided stainless line and fittings to use AN fittings, but I'm not sure I have the right flaring tool for AN lines? Don't they take a different flare than the brake lines?

Hey Bob,
If you use AN fittings and hard lines ,they need to be 37 degree single flare with tube ferrules and tube nuts to fit the taper of the fittings..ran mine with no problem and made a bubble flare for my british brake line fittings ( jag) No leaks...suprise...made my own pliers for extreme sharp bends at the fittings and no kinks..good luck..
