Hi:
I’m trying to trace what the engine, in my shamrock cobra origanaly came out of.
The engine casting number is : GM 3970010 and the number from the front of the engine is : 685225 R K06 07 H
I’ve been told it was a chevy deville sedan 1972/75 350 ci
small block V8.
Could this be true, and are there any more number’s I would need to identify Further.
Or do Shamrock put on there own engine number’s ?
Any help would be much appreciated..

It is definetly a 350 cu.in. block,we call them 010 blocks,most had four bolt mains and were made in a good supply in the 60's and 70's,possibly some in the early 80's,not sure of that...........It is a very good block as far as 350 chevys go,just ask any dirt tracker,that's all most use when they can find them...........
