Default CSX 4000 / 6000 With Navy Blue Paint ?

Does anyone have photos of a CSX 4000 / 6000 car with Navy Blue paint? Interested in photos if possible in full sunlight, in the shade and under a cloudy sky.

I have seen some photos from dcdoug (thanks) of his Navy Blue car ... and they look great!

Better yet, does anyone out there in the SF Bay Area or in Nor Cal have or know of a Navy Blue CSX I can look at?

So far ... the CSX Navy Blue and the SPF Indigo are both on my 'short list'. Both Spur408 and fishpaw of the BACC have Indigo SPFs, so I have had multiple opportunities to check them out, and I do like the color. I have about (2) months before I need to make my final color decision for my ERA 289 project.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

- Tim

Cobra25,

This for the lead. If I don't find closer, 4981 could be one to look at.

Thanks.

Tim

It is the color on the ford gt. It looked really good. The guy who owns it lives in SF if you would like to see it.

I do like the blue color Alan showed us. I went out to the Ford GT website and compared the GT blue colors to Alan's example. The GT color is a much darker blue. I looked at Blue Vista and it seemed off as well. It would be nice to know the actual color. Perhaps it's in the SAAC book?

Allan,

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. The blue color of the Cobra in the link looks like it has a bit of a purple tint to it. Is that close to actual color, or is it the camera?

Bluedog,

I looked at some Ford GT sites as well, so far I don't see a list of colors and photos of actual cars. I did find a dark blue 2006 on a auction site, no mention of color or paint code.

I have not seen the SAAC book, do you know if the book has color photos ?

Thanks.

- Tim

I am trying to find out the name, but it was the stripe color on the white Ford GT's (new type like a GT40). It does have a purple tint when under certain light. It was the best color I have seen except for Viking Blue.

Allan,

Thanks for the update ... keep us posted if you come up with a name for the paint.
