Default Csx 7505

Just got a press release from Hillbank Motor Corp. While wandering through their inventory found some images of CSX 7505. It looks like a 289FIA with the LeMans hardtop. Just gorgeous....

I know that this is an option available from Kirkham and Unique, but until seeing it on CSX 7505 was not aware it could be had with on a 7000 series.

Does anybody know anything about this car, whether the LeMans hardtop is a one-off, etc., etc.?

As always, appreciate your input.

Bob

It is a kirkham bodied '63 LeMans replica. It has street front flares and rounded rear flares like my car. This car also has the larger LeMans vents.

Beautiful car. Would be hard to cover up the aluminum with paint though. They should change the name to a Kirkham and not shelby. I know just business and all. Something about alum over fiberglass. Wax on,wax off thing probably

Cobra Pack, thanks for the answer. Besides the Daytona Coupe, personally believe that the 63 LeMans Coupe is the most well proportioned Cobra ever built.

Hardtop looks fixed on this one...I thought they were removeable?

Thanks again,

Bob

It is removable. It bolts to the soft-top mounting points by the driver's/passenger's shoulders.

Did shelby paint all his cars? I think he knew that they were aluminum. I'm just jealous......

I like arroominum. I think it looks much better polished, but then, I'm biased:

http://www.kirkhammotorsports.com/289_lemans/index.html

Kirkham pricing is $62,000 for the base 289 plus $15,000 for the Lemans top.

That pricing is for a hybrid. It is substantially more to have leafspring car with girling brakes etc.

Yes, though I wasn't paying attention to the details of this particular car, which seem to have a front leaf spring suspension with Wilwood brakes.
