Default Dynamic Suspensions coilovers

Sorry I haven't been active in awhile, but I'm working on a bunch of updates on the 'watersnake' (csx4158).

its been a lot of fun chasing some of these Shelby specific parts. Suffice it to say I've given up on dealing with Shelby after numerous delays and disappointments. More on that later...

Right now I'm looking into the Dynamic coilovers that are crossbranded with Shelby's logo on them. Looks like the only support for them is in the UK, so before I blow a wad on shipping back and forth for rebuild, does anyone have any advice?

Any reason I shouldn't swap them for a set of Koni's or Penske's? Any recommendations? I don't see anything special about them - they run Hyperco springs, have spherical bearing mounts, aluminum bodies, etc.

Thanks!

edit: did a little more work...shocks are approximately 18" extended/13" compressed, with a 12" long 2.5" spring

QA1 offers an almost identical spec shock, externally adjustable, but it takes a 14" long spring. They're about 1200/set for spherical bearings, or under $800/set with "race bearings," whatever those are.

So, thats one option, but it sends me down the rabbit hole of determining new spring rates. The 12" springs may not have been right anyway, as I noticed that when the suspension is at full sag, the springs are off the pockets - i/e/ flopping around
