Cool car, flares are really different..................

Other Makes | eBay

I like it, one of a kind.

I wouldn't buy a car for 1/2 a million from a guy that can't spell any better than that!

kurtmart 08-03-2011 09:37 AM

Didn't a CC guy see this car in someones private collection a couple of years ago? It was in with a V16 Lincoln and a bunch of other cool stuff. The widow of the collector was selling the collection.

Kurtmart, I believe you are correct.

550k for a car with non original motor?

1985 CCX 08-03-2011 12:20 PM

$550 would be high in my book however the old moto is start high so there is room for negotiation.
I think there is room....

Also, those flares just do not look right. Is that original? If so, I understand why they are there. But they mess the looks of the car.

Wish I had it though.

Ouch! I'm no Cobra original officiano, but there are several things on this Cobra that don't ring true: Obvious flared fenders, dash, puke tank, engine layout. If the flared fenders are needed what's gong on with suspension and axles? No thanks....But then again, it is a little out of my league.

WildBill1965 08-07-2011 08:35 PM

The flares are correct, even if they look weird, was in a shop in Flordia where there was 2 restored cobra race cars and that is how they done it on the 289 cars. The guy that ownes them vintage races the 289 one. All Cobras that came out of the Shelby shops were not the same, whatever parts that were available is what was used. Same with the Mustangs GT 350's. Same guy had 2 of them as book ends to the 2 original race Cobras, way too much $.
