BTW if you know the trick on posting high resolution pics on CC, please let me know. My latest pics of the finished car are not accepted because they are files too big.
I have seen elsewhere on this forum many threads with multiple high resolution pics...wonder what I'm missing.
Take care and good luck with the build,
Hector

Thanks! I think I could offer better advise to a brain surgeon than providing guidance on how to post a higher resolution photo. I think there is a size limit, but I'll pass and hope someone else will chime in.

That's funny... BTW I happen to work with some brain surgeons that may have used their own brain to train

I'm starting to feel very inadequate. I have failed to download pictures for an album in the gallery. Pretty sad, indeed.
I'm frustrated. I even started a NEW thread and was unable to download pics that way. It is almost as if I, as a user member, have a maximum of storage space for the entire forum, and have reached it. Oh well.
The pics of the final product, at home in LA, show a great car IMO
I wish I could have shown it to y'all
BTW YOU CAN SEE THOSE PICS IN THE SAAC FORUM!
(I was having the same "pictures are too big/don't have memory space" ordeal, but I was able to make it work by going back to the car and taking pictures with an iPhone, which I only assume are smaller/require less memory.)
I'm exhausted by all this effort. I think I am taking a break from picture posting. It is a hard way to make a living
Peace,
Hector

I've found over the many years of posting that the most universally method that works is to post the images first to Photobucket and then copy the "form links" and past them into a forum post.

Looking great Hector! I keep on thinking my engine is only three weeks away but I've been saying that since September. My builder is finished with the shortblock, but we're trying to find an OEM 2x4 intake.....I can't tell you how many original Ford intake's I've seen over my lifetime and never thought I'd own one until we made the decision to go with a 2x4 intake last month.
BTW, we'll be in New Orleans at the end of the month. Too bad Shreveport is on the other side of LA or I'd swing by for a ride!

Hey there Mike. Please by all means come to Shreveport, and we will go out for a nice ride. It is kindda out of your way (4-5hours), but who knows?
I can't wait to see your engine set up. You have been working so hard on it. I'm sure it will pay off in huge grins...
Mando, thank you for the compliments. You know, I had the engine built for me, and I never addressed the AN fittings... Not described in my engine manual. I took a look under the hood, but could not identify any obvious markings that would suggest the brand. If you tell me what to look for, I will check them out for you.
Cheers all!!

It looks like the nice lightweight racing hose and black fittings from BAT.

Nice Cobra.....bring it to San Marcos, Texas next March for the Texas Cobra meet. Usually 110+ Cobras attend.
Like your engine pic...sort of looks like mine!

Mando, I did not answer your pm because you saw Nick's comment. I agree those are probably the ones.
Gary, that is a sweet engine. KC? I see you have 681 hp... I am scared of my 520, can't imagine pulling in a 681 one. How can i follow up on your Texas meet? If I have a trailer by then, i would love to come to SM.
Happy Holidays, everyone!

Hector,
Yes it's a Keith Craft all aluminum 496 FE. Has a big solid roller, stage 3 aluminum heads, T&D shaft mount rockers and lots of other goodies. You can go to the Texas Forum on Clubcobra and watch for the March Spring Meet in San Marcos, Texas just south of Austin. We have been doing this meet 12 or 13 years now and started in Austin with 17 cars the first year. Their is a track event on Friday for those interest to stretch their legs and lots of Hill country cruise events, parking lot gatherings and banquet Saturday night. I think last year they had 110 plus Cobras show up.....Fun Time!

Nick! My car has just over 300 miles in 5 weeks... I drive the sucker. The thing is, I would not drive it 500 miles away without a back up. And where do I park it overnight? Those are logistics I am not familiar with...

Hey Hector that's great. Do a little reading on here for ideas regarding security and make sure the insurance coverage is good. Time to set it up with a tonneau at least so it can be left somewhere without being open.

Have to agree with Hector on a trailer when you are going miles away from home and over night. The Texas spring meet does have security in the parking lot during the whole event (24/7) but the weather is always something you can not predict and I prefer to have the car put away during any bad weather or evenings. I've had a trailer in the past, borrowed and rented also many years but I'm looking for a 20 ft enclosed myself and plan to attend more events in the coming years.............
