Any CSX4000-6000 car out there with 289 FIA wheels?
Wondering if I can get any pictures and/or advise on fitting a 427 CSX car with 289 FIA wheels...
Thanks!

Do a search by username and take a look at the karlcsx2498 gallery. He has em on what appears to be a very accurate 427 scratch build. The link below should take you to his gallery.

Well.... I have a CSX4000 car, and I have a set of Trigo FIA style wheels. I purchased the wheels to put on an Autokraft MK IV cobra and with the tires they would not work without modification. Soooo, I have the wheels (new without tires) but have not tried them on the 4000 car. I believe they will fit, but that is all I know.

There are plenty of pics of original 427 comp cars with the FIA wheels fitted, when Halibrands were in short supply. CSX3026 is a good example

I set up Karls car for him. The problem is the tie rod end is so close to the inside of the rim if it's clearing you can't even put wheel weights there. What we do is put a pair of these on Spacer spacer [] - $92.00 : Acton Custom Enterprises, Custom Metal for Cobras
On originals with FIA's you see the spinner nut looking scarey and hanging off the end of the threads. We don't have that with a little more thread on our newer hubs.
The wheels are Trigos which are very nice, especially with the treatment Hector has given them. He'll have pictures up soon. Halibrand II's are 2.75" BS where the FIA's are 3.65".
