My bet is they will be able to sell the 50th anniversary Cobras for more money long before replica Cobras with Chebbie power sell for more than those with FEs.

Just say'n

I guess, but I chose DenBeste because they could do it all, buy it, engines, setups, finishing, tuning, etc. I guess most dealers can't?

I made the mistake of using a different dealer but it was finished by Tom.

Are there not rules for California SB100 that prohibit the seller of a component vehicle from also installing the power train? I'd heard they now check and double check the business relationships to insure they are different businesses. So if, for example, "Company X" sells a roller and installs the power train to someone in Maine, that car would likely have trouble in California.

Not really relevant. The Mustang modification is post title. All Cobra activities are pre-title, and Shelby, as the manufacturer, now has a retail outlet.

I believe it is against the law for a component vehicle manufacturer to complete the vehicle into a complete with drivetrain vehicle, said vehicle would have to comply with all EPA, safety laws and crash tests of the country that it was being sold to. I am also aware of component vehicle sellers "referring" customers to drivetrain installers who just happen to be son-in-laws to the component vehicle seller, keeping the whole process within the family.

Don't mean to drudge this up but the registry has numbers in the 4950-4999 range already. %/

did you misread? The press release says the 50th Anniversary Editions will have serial numbers CSX4500 to CSX4599. It was corrected elsewhere to 4550. I don't know where 4950... came from.

Tom works for DenBeste / DenBeste owns Tom's shop/company/garage

I have spoken with all SAI CSX US dealers and no one will do the install/service the car/warranty work/etc. on a car that was bought from "Shelby Direct" -

I will not take the responsibility of the install and all that goes with it after SAI sells the car and walks away from it at the factory door

I know that. But as you know DenBeste wasn't my dealer.

Interesting, so I guess the SAI Direct order is dead on arrival. Unless someone does it and doesn't understand no one will touch it, those people will have a problem.
