SAAC42 at Indy
Circle your calendar: the dates for next year’s convention are JUNE 8-9-10, 2017 and the place is the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana. The place drips with automotive racing history and next year SAAC will become part of it.

This will be challenging to get work time off that week, but I'm going to do my best! Now, trailer an ERA Cobra or DRIVE my '06 Hertz? Either way, I want some track time.

Ok, finally a sunny day so I could shake off the winter blues.
Ready for SAAC42.
Let's start the thread.
One week out!
Spoke to Peter Klutt and they will bring s special car to the meet.
Cobra Automotive will represent as well, both in show and race.
Shaping up to be awesome.
Weather forecast is warm and positive. Hope!

We are going to bring KMP259 down to Indy....but no new tires....wrong rear end ratio....and raised up for the street.....so we'll only do the parade laps and show.....but it's still a dream to drive the Speedway......

I will be bringing KMP166, makes it nice since I only live a hour from there, staying at the Hampton Inn out on 74 West at the Brownsburg exit, straight shot to the Speedway, 15 minutes, nice area, many restaurants you can walk to. I also went to the SAAC Convention 1994, it was at Raceway Park that time, got ride to in Lynn Park's Daytona Coupe at about 160 MPH,(he had just gotten delivered from McCluskey from being restored) it was great, and as you all probably know, Lynn is one of the best drivers out there.

Is Indy run clockwise? The picture with a roadster and a coupe had them heading that away. You can tell, I haven't watched Indy in a long time. The only Indy car race I've attended was 'way back at PIR in PHX and those cars ran anti-clockwise.

The Indianapolis Grand Prix, which uses part of the road course as well as the front straightaway, is run clockwise, the 500 and the Brickyard both run counterclockwise.
