Default CSX 4451 ....... Getting Close To Completion. The final stretch!!!!

Well it all started at SAI

Southern Automotive just completed the the 427 FE after a delay on receiving a backordered aluminum block from POND. Susan was awesome to work with and was very helpful and generous along the way to boot..... can't say enough about her or SA!

I stopped by Oltoff Racing yesterday on my return from DC and met with Dennis. What a super nice guy and man did he have a shop full of nice GT40s!!!!! He had a few ideas for subtle mods to make the car a better driver. No doubt he knows his stuff. He is hoping to have her finished up by the first week in March if all goes right.

Should be a good spring!!

Added replacement photos with Photobucket going full stupid!!!

Looks really nice. Dennis and Southern Automotive are involved with my build as well. Both offer a lot of experience and knowledge. Your build is coming tougher nicely. Good luck with the build.

So, you gonna just take pictures of it in your driveway or drive it ? We need a driver's log!

After my first drive I declared it to be:

A the f*n fun you can legally have in public...with your clothes on.

Thumbs up

Very nicely done. What size carb? 750-770 ? I am preparing to sell my CSX4017LA........and about to be an ERA driver. I have had 7yrs of great fun. I am sure you will enjoy being part of the Cobra family. When I says that I mean not only being a Shelby SAAC guy but being a part of the larger Cobra, Daytona,GT40 family. Get out and drive it....and find the 2 lane roads with as many twists as possible. Be safe and have fun.
Cheers
Rick

On another note....E5USMC is not random. I was an E5 in the USMC aviation wing. Discharged 6/65. Best wishes for the road ahead.

Lol.... oh I drove it!!!! It's a beast to be sure. Sadly my next 2 weeks are filled with work travel so it will have to hold down the garage floor till then !!!!

Gonna get a GoPro video on my next drive.

Yes... from Treadwear. Used them on my last car and they work great. Just be prepared for a long tedious application process... gave plenty of sweet tea, music , and snacks!!!
