So, as a lawyer would say, "I object, this is hearsay eveidence" (I heard from someone who heard from someone.) As far as personal involvement, the only person we can be absolutely positive was involved in any recent tribute type vehicles is David Kirkham since he posted here himself. All others are secondary. You probably won't hear it directly from those people because of the non-disclosure agreements they no doubt had to sign.

I totally agree.
I'm just a little over this. My car is a replica. The only genuine Cobras are the CSX2xxx and CSX3xxx cars manufactured by Shelby in the 1960's. Every other car is a replica. The flood of newly manufactured cars wearing CSX numbers are replicas; the objective is to make a profit and the result is to overwhelm and potentially confuse (edit: particularly when there are "resumption" cars with CSX2xxx and CSX3xxx numbers).
Cheers!
Glen

David Kirkham posted here that he was involved in the recent tribute cars?
I think you guys aren't reading the replies Ross is posting.

Ross Henry had more than ‘just a little bit’ to do with all of the current tribute cars from Shelby/Hillbank i.e., Gurney, McDonald, Grant, Miles, Bondurant, etc.,etc. If it wasn’t for Ross’s passion and dedication, they wouldn’t exist. At least in the stunning form that they are now.

You can say that again ! He doesn’t get anywhere enough recognition for all his hours of research and dedication to getting the cars perfect!!

After Carrol Shelby's death Superformance / Hilbank essentially became Shelby American. Hilbank / Superformance complete both the aluminum (chassis supplied by Kirkham) and fiberglass Continuation Cobras to "roller" status. Hilbank has a subcontractor that assembles the HiTech supplied body / chassis into "rollers", I am assuming that this subcontractor does the same for the Kirkham supplied chassi / bodies. The only involvement that Shelby American Inc has in the production of Cobras anymore is supplying some components (suspension, exhaust, etc) that are needed in the completion of the Superformance / Hilbank built "roller" Continuation Cobras. The other involvement SAI has with Superformance / Hilbank is the licensing agreement to call the Cobras they build Shelby Cobras and give them CSX serialized vin numbers.
