This car has been discussed here before. It was from a flood in Georgia (?). Search forum topics will find it. Is this the one that had to have sand and rocks blown out of the frame tubes?

As a footnote.
Car was restored with no expense spared. Frame treated inside with oil etc New motor New Weber’s Do not know about you but in a good rain or snow the same happens. To me this is no factor. After the Cobra 1000 there was similar issues with original cars. That matter?? |
$189,000?
The Cobra Country ad from 2015 listed the asking price as $159,000 and the car sold. With the history of this car (e.g., main tubes were drilled to let the sludge spill out), the full retail price boggles my mind. I'd rather buy a new roller or find another used alloy CSX probably for about the same amount of money. I've always said that a "branded" car/title was worth about 50% of market and that's about right for me. The flooded car was forklifted, IIRC, and purchased for around $40,000. There's no way, in my mind, that there's $150,000 of rebuild dollars there. Nothing to see here. |
Al these cars are component vehicles.
That said components are all spot on. Everyone has an opinion. That’s what makes this site great. Fortunately for the seller these cars do increase in value based on what they are. A KMS from 10-12 years ago had doubled. Same car no? The market is limited thus as a numbered car thus in my opinion there is something to see. Either way it would fit in my garage. |
