Default Shelby American racing the Series 1?

I understand that Shelby American would be unable to comment on this subject so I do not expect one.

Shelby and his Cobra were making history before I was born. I can still remember the first time I saw a Cobra with my father when I was 13. The guy driving had grey/white hair and he smirked when he looked over? The light turned green and I can remember hearing the rumble of the pipes fading away "FAST" as he disappeared from my vision. I knew then that the Cobra was my dream car. Of course I first had to ask my dad what kind of car that was.

I just wanted to express my enthusiasm and hope to see one of Shelby's new creations racing on a track in my lifetime. If Mr. Shelby happens to glance over this message I would like to say thank you for the inspiration and the dream.

Jason,

I don't understand your statment that SAI would not be in a position to comment.

A number of Series 1 owners have had their cars on the track. Each of the SAAC events for the past couple of years have had Series 1 cars on the track. There have been some in local ametuer events. However, we are not aware of any in big name events to date.

Wayne,

My speculation would be that Jason is speaking of the sort of racing involvement that Shelby had back in the 60's.

I finally saw a couple of series 1 cars.....very very nice.

Mike

Hopefully I'll be in Vegas in the next couple of months.....Like to stop by and say Hi.

That is correct Mike, I wasn't clear enough.

Is there going to be a Shelby American Racing Team with the Series 1. Or are we going to have to live with the Viper and Vettes winning all the big races? As far as Shelby American commenting, I meant if there currently isn't one, then I don't think I would be entitled to such information.

Now that we have narrowed it down, I guess what I would like to say is that I would love to see the Series 1 race against big names like Dodge, Chevy and the foreign guys.

p.s. I was with Mike when he viewed the Series 1. Words cannot describe other than WOW

We would love to have a factory presence again. There just is not the money to do it. The costs are huge. This company is small. Our energies are in developing a new car. If a huge corporate sponsor came along with the interest to see it through .....???
