I have a heater and I've since added heated seats. If I was building a new car today, I would get both again. In my opinion, the heater is well worth the relatively nominal cost. While not ideal, it's far from worthless.

The previous owner of my CSX4000 gave me a box with these parts, along with a glove box. He wrote on the box that fitting the heater unit requires installing the smaller glove box.

We had one of those for sale on my local club for $100 -- never used. Here's the thread saying it retails for $199. Man, you gotta love the Shelby markup.

They're a lot more expensive now though, Patrick .... $240 ....but there's a cheaper version for $175

Looks like my specific unit has been discontinued, replaced by item 506101 in the Vintage Air link.

agreed!! This is why I am posting this, The CSX cars are cool for the VIN # and all that, and if built CORRECTLY worth a LOT more, but if you want a complete car to buy and "drop in a engine and transmission" buy an ERA or an SPF

I looked at the vintage air unit... Did not like it, Hillbank sells it for $1200. LOL
someone here hooked my up with this... it looks perfect for $148
