Wayne:
Have no idea if Carroll sees these posts, but in case you see him, please wish him amd his family a very happy holiday season.
Despite some bumps in the road, he and he alone is responsible for those wonderful cars and this wonderful hobby. Anyone who enjoys these cars, regardless of the manufacturer, owes him a debt of gratitude.
A continued long and prosperous life, sir.

After yesterdays visit to the museum here in Boulder, I would wish a special thanks to Mr. Shelby for his vision. Less we forget those talented drivers and others behind the scenes that provided us the 'toys' from the dreams of our youth. Merry Christmas from snowy Boulder!

Thank you for your best wishes to Carroll. Carroll is frequently at our location in Las Vegas, is very active in both current projects (Cobra and Series 1) and has new projects on the board. He hasn't slowed down. I will call his attention to your posts. Carroll frequently inquires as to this club's activity (and the other Cobra based forums), but declines to respond (as have we all at Shelby American, recently) because it is difficult to respond without triggering the vociferous few who will take up the attack. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to have a civil discussion with Carroll, even given we all have different points of view? It appears it can't happen on a web site. He is generally very accomodating in a person to person discussion and appreciates his fans and followers, those of you that have met him will attest to this, but people hiding behind a PC monitor appear to be very different than people having a face to face discussion. I guess it take a real man to talk face to face.

WOW!!!
Nothing but praise and laid-backness here Wayne.
I applogize for my negative comments about your receptionist. Now I understand why you did not reply to my observations.
Regrets,
Zderf

Carroll & Wayne, best wishes for a Merry Christmas to you and your families!
Carroll, please understand that generally, we are all very appreciative of these truly magnificent cars. Every kit is a tribute to the magic you've created, and I would think most of us would just want you to truly understand exactly that. Personally, I can't afford an original at this time, but I work very hard for the things I aquire, just as any wealthy man might, and I found an affordable alternative, which is inspired by your wizdom, creativity, and passion. I don't know anyone who tries to pass their cars off as originals, but somehow your name always comes up in the conversation about them. Carroll, you're inspiration to all of your loyal enthusiasts, and that's where the contension lies. We promote your good name tirelessly, sharing the incredible stories with people who would not have experienced them otherwise. In return, many times we feel as though our good will is looked down upon. We understand that our cars and maybe our financial situations will never be up to par with your orginals and their owners, but you'll never find more loyal and enthusiastic promoters of the Carroll Shelby name. This is why many of your actions cause a stir. It is true that people act much differently behind a pc screen, but please understand Carroll, that we're looking for an opportunity to share with you....Will you share a little with this loyal group of enthusiasts too?
Again, I whish a Merry Christmas, and I look forward to your participation here.

Brent,
Well said my friend, very well said indeed. We do not mean any harm with what we do (at least most of us), we just enjoy what we have, nothing more, nothing less. Would anyone expect differently......
Yours in Fords,
Bill S.
PS: So, what did you get for Christmas .
