CSX 4000 Car Photos
Could some of the owners of the CSX 4000 series cars post some pictures. Also it would be helpful if you could describe if it is aluminum or glass.
Thanks
Allan

Allan, under my "Photo gallery" is a picture of my COBRA, CSX4266, an all aluminum bodied car. The car was completed last August by Newport Shelby Cobras.

Allan: There are some pictures of my car on www.csxinfo.net under the photo album section. The car was not completed in the photos except for the bottom photo taken at SAAC a year later.
Send me your email and I send you additional photos if needed.

Real One.. Where did you get the rear 1/4 panel bra's. How are they held in place? Nice ride by the way it may be my color choice! Thanks, Sal.

Thanks for your links, I was hoping everyone could post one photo of their cars on this post. I was trying to get an idea of how many CSX 4000 guys were on this site. Also I felt it would be something positive in light of the recent posts. If you could send additional photos to cranebldr@aol.com that would be great as we will need some help with our builds CSX 4310 and 4309.
Thanks,
Allan

I have recently posted some pics of CSX4083, the Cammer Cobra in the gallery. You can use the link in my reply or search for the car number to find the pics.

Blu,
Yes and no, I would say that they do not run as smooth as the other car but they are much much better, We sent the car to Fodge and he seemed to get most of the bugs worked out. I like driving it now, and it is very responsive. Would I do it again, yes if it stays the way it is, if a month from now it acts up I would say no.

On a related note, so what's the latest news on all those new fiberglass Shelby Cobras that people started ordering around last August 2003? i.e. CAV, then not CAV, then Shelby making them..., etc.
Did anyone ever receive one of these cars? If so, any pictures of completed cars? How is the quality so far?

Shelby GR-1
I just read this on the Shelby Auto's web page, Press release:
FORD, SHELBY UNVEIL NEW SHELBY GR-1 COUPE
8/13/2004
On Thursday, August 12, 2004, the Shelby GR-1 was unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. GR-1 stands for "Group Racing-1" and this car further underscores the ongoing efforts of both Ford and Shelby to deliver high performance to the streets of America.
Modeled after World Champion Shelby Daytona Coupe, the new Shelby GR-1 utilizes some of the components of the Ford GT and its design follows the same "Retro" theme found in many new Ford designs, including the 2005 Mustang. Power is supplied by a 6.4-liter V10 turning out about 605 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque at 5500 RPM. This should translate to 0-60 MPH times under 4 seconds.
Now I think I Know why there were delays in CSX deliveries, SAI must have been pretty busy with this one! WOW!

Any CSX4*** owners/historians care to comment on This thread of mine?
It seems to have been missed! Only 1 response....I thought it would have raised a few more than that!
Nik.
